REMAINING YOUTHFUL EVEN AT ANY STATE/STAGE IN LIFE
Keeping stride along with synergy
In any stage of our life
With code ‘never say die’
Will fetch us rich dividends
Not only in terms of productivity
But in turn reward of sound health in a sound body
Consciously aware about everything that happens around
With output aplenty with abundance of activities
Which will make us independent financially
And not be burden on somebody else
Since we can look after our own needs even at any stage in life
With youthful dynamism
Bereft of any weariness
With spirits and emotions soaring high
Earning for self good appearance as a bonus
Enhancing zest for living more with passing time
Thus remain in comfort zone ever
With a balanced mindset
Thus carve a niche for self
Without age-related worries
Of being tagged as worthless
Even at any stage of life.
Whilst the disheartened lots
Even with lesser age though
Just wilt under the weight of years of age!
Live their lives of worries for tomorrow
So unpredictable without a doubt
When they cannot do anything tangible
With disappointment writ large
They just live the days left
And wait for their end
Just die without leaving even a trace of their existence
Which others could reminisce.
Fully conscious that while we are spirited
Overflowing with zeal and enthusiasm
We grow and remain green
With the fond awareness
That all the stages of our existence
Have special significance
And with age
We should make our life
Worth living, richer and more purposeful
Thus generating positivity
Which make our lives happy and worth living
But without losing our connect
With Almighty God.
It has been observed that there are some people who feel energetic while handling their responsibilities even at old age. For such persons with age they mature to handle any job assigned. Their courage and determination remain intact/undiminished even at old-age while there are the ones who feel very low, disheartened /dispirited and are disinterested in any activity in life. Such people do not show courage to take on new responsibilities or are in the habit of procrastinating thereby losing even their self-esteem at the lower biological age. The reason for wearing down feeling may be hereditary or due to unsound health partly due to circumstance and partly due to their own negative mindset. Factually, those who remain active in any stage of their lives are the people who remain happy in any situation and condition.
MEANING OF YOUTHFULNESS
In essence, it is relevant to understand what is youthfulness meaning having characteristics of vitality, vigor which is fountainhead of strength and courage, possessing greenness in thought and action, remaining fresh even after strenuous work schedule etc. Basically, such an individual have vitality or vigor for work at any given time hand without slackening in the effort. They are the people with positive mindset have vitality for performing any task at hand at any stage of life.
AGEING IS A NATURAL PROCESS
There is no disputing the fact that the one who is born here on this earth ages, passes from early childhood, adolescence, youth, middle-age and oldage. Those who follow proper norms of living; take proper diet, take regular exercise to keep healthy and fit, are positively oriented and balanced even at the height of provocation remain in good health and live with the dictum ‘sound mind dwells in sound body’.
ADOPTING ACTIVE ORIENTATION IN LIFE
From my personal experience of remaining active and agile at 69+, I can say with certainty that those who remain busy/active in one pursuit or other make them active physically and mentally are the happiest people. It is because they utilize their physical and mental faculties thereby do not get bore or bogged down by any challenge because of lethargic/sedentary and unproductive lifestyle.
EFFECTS OF REMAINING INACTIVE
It is important to note that while we are inactive, we are unproductive meaning we remain dependent on others for meeting our needs and when our needs are not met, we feel disheartened and the consequences of this inactivity adversely affects our health and well-being.
RELATION OF BRAIN AND BODY
I have the experience of persons who feel very young even at an advanced stage of their lives. It is because their brain is ageing comparatively slowly. It is not galloping fast as it happens in many cases. Those who live a sedentary lifestyle feel very tired even after performing small amount of job. Not only their body but their mind too becomes indecisive/inactive thereby person concerned resorts to procrastination.
WHEN AN OLD PERSON REMAINS BUSY IT IS NEW NORM
When a youth performs his/her job energetically without getting tired physically or mentally, it is taken as norm but when an old man remains unwavering even after performing his/her responsibility it comes under the category of new norm. When a person feels tired even at a younger biological age, such a person feels disoriented in his thoughts, feels tired at the slightest pretext then such a person feels so because his brain ages faster than his actual age therefore this characteristic of both body and mind.
CONNECTION BETWEEN HEALTH AND MENTAL STATE
In essence, health and mental state have correlation, healthier the body, sound is the mental health. When mental health is appropriate, then, all the vital organs of the body work in tandem. The empirical truth proves that as we old, our body and with it our mind undergoes change too. But how much the change takes place is individualistic in nature. Some experience severe negative change whereas others who are positively oriented their brain age slowly.
