The way the Novel Coronavirus is spreading its tentacles and engulfing the world thus infecting the people who do not observe the necessary lockdown conditions in which the old and ailing ones are being infected. Since remaining at the confines of our homes is the only remedy for Covid-19 till such time we have vaccine for cure of this virus.

While at home, we have to keep ourselves neat and tidy. Whenever we have to go out for meeting an emergent requirement, we have to keep healthy distance, when at home, we should properly wash our hands with soap etc.

It is significant to mention that the symptoms of Covit-19 are: cold and cough with sneezing, pneumonia and weakness in the entire body. When these symptoms are felt, it is proper that the concerned person should be taken to the hospital for formal medical care for testing for the Coronavirus infection. When it is felt that the particular person is positive then proper then such person should be properly quarantined where all the precautions are observed under the supervision of a medical staff.

Care and caution for those who suffer from hypertension, lung related diseases, sour throat, kidney malfunctioning, liver related diseases etc. should be very careful. If such people get this infection, it requires extra care and caution is required in such cases.

Think of the people who have lost their love ones due to Covid-19 Pandemic. How miserable it is to lose a member of a family? People are dying in the hospital and the near relatives feel shattered on losing their love ones.

The way people around the world are dying, it calls for self-discipline in the form of LOCKDOWN confining at home for those who are healthy. No other cure is available presently.

Also, those who have lost their lives stands at  1,20,000 and infections exceed two million and counting while there is no vaccine round the corner.

In Bhagwadd Gita it has been opined:

जातस्य हि ध्रुवो मृत्युर्ध्रुवं जन्म मृतस्य च |
तस्मादपरिहार्येऽर्थे न त्वं शोचितुमर्हसि

jātasya hi dhruvo mṛityur dhruvaṁ janma mṛitasya cha
tasmād aparihārye ’rthe na tvaṁ śhochitum arhasi

Death is certain for one who has been born, and rebirth is inevitable for one who has died. Therefore, you should not lament over the inevitable.

When our births and deaths are in the hands of the Almighty God
Then why get unreasonably worried!
Death does not keep any calendar is well known
For which date and time is uncertain
‘Let the die be cast’ in anyway
Cause may be any
Let it be due to hideous virus like Cobid-19
Or a untimely death at 19!
Caused due to some accidental touch
On an infected surface
In infects us
When we touch our hands
On the mouth or nose
Which passes to our throat
Through windpipe
Infects our lungs
Causing pneumonic conditions
Including dysfunction of our kidneys
Causing untold condition of the whole of our system.
This virus or any other virus originate
Due to cardinal error of humans
While Nature gets disturbed
Through reverse engineering
Or through the ill-design of a super-spreader
Which can happen by any immoral element
Becoming the cause of deaths
Of all age-groups
Vast majority of them being
Old and ailing.

  1. It is a truth that we do not have control over BIRTHS AND DEATHS – when it will come is uncertain. The reason too is uncertain. Then let us be fearless and do our Karmic Deeds fearlessly.

Do appraise the blog and comment. I do get inspiration from your comments.

  2. The shloka from Bhagavad Gita is immensely helpful in getting people out of fear of death. The scriptures say that life is precious, and the body is the temple of God. It has to be preserved so that human beings can undertake the task they had come for. Thank you so much, Harbans, for such a meaningful and lovely post.

    1. Thanks a lot for your invaluable comments. Fact remains, both births and deaths are necessary, as if death is not there then there is no rebirth and a new beginning. But in today’s scenario, deaths are disproportionately happening around the world, it calls for some introspection – to be careful in adapting to the situation while performing our day to day duties with spiritual orientation. Whatever comes in the way, have to be faced. If we succeed it is good and if not then also it is good – without losing ourselves in the bargain

      With regards

  3. Good morning and thank you very much for this so, so necessary article. You have precisely mentioned all the basic rules of personal and social hygiene that we must observe to defend our families and ourselves from this terrible pandemic, of sheer Biblical proportions. If we follow these basic rules and bear the conditions of this forced social isolation. Indeed the passing away of a loved one due to this terrible disease (provoked by the carelessness and foolishness of the Chinese authorities and public health supervisors) is a daily reality for thousands of good innocent people all over the planet. As President Macron of France said yesterday: “after this is over, China must answer some very difficult questions.” Many times we had seen some unflattering and false comparisons between the rapid growth of Chinese and Indian economies. For all its lack of basic infrastructure for many millions of citizens, which the government of Premier Modi is fast addressing now, the many successive Indian governments have never allowed the existence of these barbaric “wet markets” in the middle of highly urbanized areas. That speaks a lot about the strong civic traditions and managerial cadres of India, which is ruled by democratic institutions that answer to the voting citizenry.
    Long live India.
May God Almighty have mercy on all of us.
    A big hug. Arrivederci.

    1. Good morning Dr. Sahib.

Your commentary is really timely and incisive.

The questions posted to the country of origin are really very relevant and the world at large should seek answers to the posers. How come the country of origin celebrated ‘all clear’ in WUHAN when globally people were dying and being infected by the virus. This heartlessness demeanor is obviously questionable. The UNO and other world forums should come forward and ostracism this country.

      Thanks for your contribution.
