QUESTIONS FOR ME

1.What is your favorite genre to read and why?

I read all sorts of topics. It may be art and craft, science, fictions, stories, poems, spiritualism etc. I am of the opinion, that everything  and every written  material has value of its own therefore should give us knowledge for making our lives sublime.

2.What color best describes you as a person and why?

Light blue color is to my liking since it is also associated with sky, water besides it could merge with any color to outshine still further.

3.If travel into outer space were as simple as traveling around the world, where would you go and why?

If I travel into outer space were made simple and I could travel to different planets then I would like to visit the Moon because Moon represent coolness, simplicity, althought it does not have light of its own yet it emits light at night. It has got its own charm and that is why poets are impressed by its beauty and would like to pen down poems. It also changes its shape as a Natural corollary.

4.Is the statement, “Black Lives Matter” racist?

I am of the opinion that everything and everybody who is created by our Creator have some purpose. There is nothing in this world and beyond which does not have its utility, therefore, have significance. As far as the statement, “Black Lives Matter”, along with others’ lives black lives too matter. Blacks too are created by our Creator like any others. Although I do not find any raciest overtones in this  statement  yet those who give too much of credence or importance to themselves due to some reason or other repent in the long run since everybody highiest and lowest have to mix in the same dust after their death. (You can go through my write-up ‘Exaggerated sense of importance’ if you want further clarification).

5.Is the statement, “All Lives Matter” racist?

I love statement: “All Lives Matter” since all the creations are from the same SOURCE. Nobody is high and low. All have origin and end – impermanence and it should never be forgotten).

6.Why did you answer questions 4 and 5 as you did?

I answered qauestions No. 4 since I think when God created its creation He created every entity with some special characteristics, therefore, nobody is big and small in His domain. He discriminated none. All colors, every creed, everything is His creation and there is a purpose for every creation.

Question No. 5 was answered because it gives credence or significance to every creation without any bias.

But I appreciate the second question.

7.Whom have you considered your most important role model and why?

You will be surprised but it is a fact. At different times, I meet different people and get influences. To whomsoever I meet, I tend to get something good since I think everybody in this world has been made in His mold therefore special. Therefore, everybody for me is SPECIAL and a ROLE MODEL.

8.Why do we have parents?

Firstly fot give us birth, then bring us up in congenial atmosphere, give us value system along with teach us the family traditional values and modes of behaviour. They teach us the value of love and affection along with how best to adjust in the socieity while obeying the social norms.

9.What is most important: to have peace of mind or to have a million dollars?

To have peace of mind is better than any other thing in this world since you cannot purchase ‘peace of mind’ with a million dollar.

10.What does writing do for you personally?

It provides me an opportunity to pen down what I experience in my day to day life. It also enables me to express my own opinion on variety of things.

11.Do you engage in the visual arts (i.e., painting, sketching, sculpting)? If so, which?

Sometimes I paint.

The Liebster Award is a way to be discovered but also to connect and support the blogging community. It is a great idea in promoting your own blog and those of others. Originally it was given out to blogs with less than 2000 readers, but this has slowly lowerd as the reward has gained popular.

MY NOMINATIONS

As my motto in life is to learn from each and everybody with whom I have interaction, either through personal or through appraising of the blog, therefore, everyone of my followers are dear to me. I nominate all those who have time to answer the above questions though I have nominate some of them.

  1. Thank you, dear Harbhans, for sharing the same questions with me.

    1. What is your favorite genre to read and why?
I prefer to read spiritual books, especially from the competent Masters: books from Kabir, from Sant Kirpal Singh, from Baba Jaimal Singh, Baba Savan Singh, the holy books from different religions: Koran, Bible, Guru Granth Sahib, Thora, Vedas, Buddhistic scripts, and much more. They help me to understand and find the purpose of life. Important is to live up to the teaching of those great Masters. To make their experiences ours.

    2. What color best describes you as a person and why?
I like white and yellow as they are the colours of divinity. When it comes to wearing clothes I prefer blue colours and otherwise discreet colours.

    3. If travel into outer space were as simple as traveling around the world, where would you go and why?
I would like to travel to inhabitant planets to make contact with other intelligent life-forms for sharing and exchange different knowledge and experiences as an ambassador of peace.

    4. Is the statement, “Black Lives Matter” racist?
If no other background knowledge would be there, the term “black lives matter” can easily be misunderstood, but with the background knowledge, we have available it is clear that our black brothers and sisters want to defend themselves against injustice, abuse, prejudices, and wrong treatment. In this case, this statement is not racist. This term would not even exist, if we all would have respect for each other independent of our skin colour, religion, nationality, if we all would treat us as human beings with the same rights. So it is their right to balance this inequality when others try to make them as second class human beings.

    5. Is the statement, “All Lives Matter” racist?
Not at all. It is the expression that we all should have respect for all life-forms created by God and that we should treat all life-forms with dignity and respect as in every life-form God resides.

    6. Why did you answer questions 4 and 5 as you did?
To clarify that every life-form, may we all even differ from each other, is unique and precious, is a flower in the garden of God.

    7. Whom have you considered your most important role model and why?
It is my Master Sant Kirpal Singh Ji and his two Gurmukhs Dr. Harbhajan Singh and his wife Surinder Kaur as well as Kabir Sahib. Through them, it was possible to understand our purpose of life. Christ said: “If you love me, then follow my commandments…” . When following the teaching of the competent Master, living up to them, we can experience the same experiences as they have spoken of in their holy scriptures, to see the inner light and hear the inner sound, the melodies of the divine spheres. When the fruit of the soul is ripe it will fall back to its eternal Home… like an apple that falls from the tree. As there is nothing besides God existing, then we all are drops of His huge Ocean of love, life, light. So we should see God in all, as the body is His temple. In doing so we increase love, respect, and understanding towards all our brothers and sisters in Him.

    8. Why do we have parents?
This question could even be extended by “why do we have brothers and/or sisters, why do we have exactly those friends entering our lives, why do we have people with whom we have problems, etc.”

The answer for this is that we have just those parents, or have just this partner, or friend, or brother, or sister, or even enemy – that we were connected in the past. It is our karmic connection that brings us together to pay off former debts or imbalances to each other. The roles can even change: in earlier lives, my mother could be now my sister or brother, all kind of combinations are possible there depending on our pralabdha karma which is taken from the huge storage karma or called sanchit karma (where reactions from all lives we had so far are gathered or accumulated). Paying off former debts means: What we sow we have to ripe but with our death, there are many things which we could not ripe yet and these things enter into the sanchit karma, from there is a part taken, called pralabdha karma that is put into our present life as rails where our life-train has to roll over (to face illness, good things, and bad things). So we play certain roles in our life: as children, later as mother or father, then also maybe as brothers and sisters and maybe as grandfather and grandmother. So our parents play the role to prepare us for this life, however, unfortunately, it often also goes along with the opinion of the mainstream – that tells us how our children should be, to earn much money, to have a good reputation in the society and seldom we are educated to find our purpose of life. Not money should be the highest ideal, nor it should be to have a nice title or shine with some reputation – more important than that is to develop love for everyone, to understand that we all are one in the One. With this understanding, we can all treat us as real brothers and sisters in Him. Giving up the racing idea that you are better or worse, higher or lower, this racing competition.

    9. What is most important: to have peace of mind or to have a million dollars?
As long we are slaves to the money and with this instrument slaves to wishes, we are fully attached to it. Friedrich Nietzsche once said: “The more they possess, the more they are possessed by their possession…” and with so much money we cannot even still our mind and intellect.
When our mind is still, the voice of God arises… However, it is very hard to tame the wild horse, called mind in us – many times we will be thrown off it and may fall hard to the ground, but with a prevailing passion to learn who we really are, we always stand up, again and again, try to tame it in different ways. Only when our mind and intellect is still and silent then we may see God in us and even speak to Him from soul to Him.

    10. What does writing do for you personally?

When I was a young man at the age of 20 years I moved abroad and was living in pure nature between two lakes. There, I was so much influenced by feelings and emotions that I started to write poems and aphorisms. Over the years it helped me to understand myself a bit, to ask questions to myself, to give answers on a sheet of paper in order to express feelings, flying thoughts, touching emotions. Then I became interested in philosophy and studied the old Greek philosophers which helped me too to understand things with rational logic as well. Writing is like chiseling the ideal we have in us, to chisel out what is inside us without seeing yet the whole picture. It is an attempt to write about this inner living thing from all sides, from all perspectives to give it a shape of a living something…

    11. Do you engage in the visual arts (i.e., painting, sketching, sculpting)? If so, which?
Yes, for many years have I supported my poems and aphorisms with digital art. Means first I write the poem and then I get some inspiration to let the poem accompany by an expressive digital art image.

    Dear Harbhans,
So thank you again for letting me participate in those questions.
Big hugs to you and your family
    Warm regards
    Didi
