LONELINESS RESULTS WHEN WE LACK SELF-KNOWLEDGE

LONELINESS RESULTS WHEN WE LACK SELF-KNOWLEDGE

SELF KNOWLEDGE RESULTS WHEN WE TRY TO REMOVE IGNORANCE & SPREAD KNOWLED

In essence, when we do not know our own self comprehensively, then question pops up, how can we know about somebody else? We all are having body, mind and soul (Spirit). Our body and mind could be trained to work in tandem/as a cohesive unit But our soul, which according to Lord Krishna in Bhagwad Gita ‘is a very tiny fragmental portion of Him is a basis of our consciousness. A soulless body is a lifeless body. We become self-aware when we know the difference between soul and the matter. All this dawns when we are self-aware – consciously know what we actually are and what we are not besides what our purpose or function is on this planet.

A person who is ignorant about what we actually are and what we are not. Such a person becomes ill-informed in many ways. For raising our awareness and remove the darkness of ignorance, we have to have total control over our mind. Controlling mind means acquiring equanimity both in happy and sad occasions i.e. to attain balance in life – a bridge which keeps us protected from bad omens or fluctuations of good and bad tidings. Contrarily, when our mind goes out of kilter, rather when we become prisoners of mind and senses, then, we get disconnected from our own self and in the process become lonely even in the company of friends and other people around.

In essence, being lonely means not being self-conscious or in other words being ignorant about our own self to which Bhagwad Gita proclaims; ‘sever the ignorant doubt in your heart with the sword of self-knowledge as a consequence of which we shall gain self-realization thereby connecting with the Higher Soul (Super Soul) intuitively speaking. This way, differences just melt away since we establish with our Soul which is not apart from the Super Soul.

There are people who lack self-knowledge feel lonely anywhere they put their steps and become cynic and pessimists thus earn for themselves physical and mental health related problems.

LONELINESS HAPPENS WHEN WE LACK SELF KNOWLEDGE

IGNORANCE LEADS TO OUR LONELINESS EVEN IN THE COMPANY OF SO MUCH LIVING THINGS

Loneliness is not merely
Saying I am alone
Since everybody has come alone to this earth so beautiful
But it is a feeling
That you are not connected
Or loved by the people around.

There may be enormous number of people around you
In variety of relationship, friends in plenty
Yet feeling of hurt comes in the heart
That are still lonely.

The main cause of disconnect with our own kith and kin
Happens when we are not in touch with our own selves
Meaning even in the company of so many people around
You may be all alone still.

Although we devote so much time making friends in variety of forums
Yet fail to explore the inner recesses of own selves
Thus become self-aware
Which gives a huge tinge of aloofness?

We ought to be aware
That the commonality in all of us is the soul in us
When we connect within
We are connected with everybody around
Thus doing so we transform our relationship
With others based on love
With the centre at the core of our heart.

If our heart is empty
But when we dig deeper
And connect with our spirit
We are able to connect
With the foundation of love
That lies dormant there
Which thence flows into every aspect of our lives
Then everything that we experience
Is full of connectivity with everybody around
Which is the fountain head of the happiness
We may fail to have exchanges of love,
Because our own hearts are empty
But when we dig still deeper in serenity
We not merely connect with our own selves
But also establish connectivity
With our own Creator – the Super Soul
A Soul to Super Soul connectivity!.

BHUDDHA PERSONIFIES REMOAL OF IGNORANCE AND SPREAD OF WISDOM

A Buddha – is the most enlightened one
The one who possesses Bodhi an unparallel wisdom
An ideal state attained through spiritual orientation
With intellectual and ethical perfection
Who would transform others’ lives with all his realizations
it has been said, what is destined will surely happen.

Born in the year 563 B.C. to King Sudhodhana & Queen Maya
His birth name was Sidharatha
In Lumbini in the Kingdom of Kapilavastu in Nepal
Wherein he had his upbringing
With love and affection overflowing
From childhood itself he was emotionally surcharged.

He used to feel much pain
When he saw anybody in utter pain
Hence the King kept him at his residence
With a lot of opulence
And all the comforts which a person needs.

Prince Sidhartha was married to princess Yasodhara
So that his son remains busy in the palace life itself
Dissociated from the outside situations and conditions
Filled with pains and sufferings
He was just cut off from the outside existence
As his father wanted him to be the king
And rule his kingdom after him
But the seers had other prediction
That Sidharatha would be hugely spiritual in orientation.

One day he saw the outside life with pain in abundance
With sickness, oldage and finally death occurrences
He also saw a monk just wandering about
He wished to be a monk
For understanding the real meaning of life in real sense
Hence he ultimately left the comforts of the palace
Did strictest penance
For six long years.

While meditating under a Bodhi tree
In Bodhgaya in present day Bihar
With single minded meditative trance
Without taking anything for days on end
For he wanted to know the reason of human sufferings
Which is commonly seen.

His quest for knowing the cause of human sufferings
He got enlightenment about the reason for human sufferings
That removal of ignorance can remove sufferings
He faced many a hurdles during his meditation so severest
But finally, he attained enlightenment
And became Buddha – the one imbued with immense wisdom.

Ultimately, got what he aspired for in case of human existence
As prophesied by the seers!

FROM CHILDHOOD TO THE ENLIGHTENMENT
BIRTH OFSIDHARATHA

SPREAD OF LOVE AND LIGHT COUNTS

Named as Sidharatha, born to the King Sudhodhana and Queen Maya in 563 B.C. at a place named Lumbina in the Kingdom of Kapilavastu inNepal. He was brought up in the comforts of palace in an atmosphere of fond love and affection.

SUFFUCING  WITH EMOTIONS

It is significant to note that from the childhood itself, he was suffusing with emotions and used to get emotionally moved by the sufferings of others. The seers predicted that one day he will become Bhuddha. But the King wanted to see him as a great king. Therefore, he told his wife to keep him away from miseries of life and provided him all the comforts within the four walls of the palaces. With this point in view, the King Sadodna kept him away from the lives of common people and the hard life with penury and wants.

RAY OF HOPE LIES IN SPREAD LOVE AND REMOVE IGNORANCE

MARRIED LIFE

At the age of sixteen, Prince Sidhartha was married to princess Yasodhara. The king provided all the comforts in the palace so that his son may remain engrossed in the ways of the world and never leave the palace. But a person who is destined to become a great Buddha cannot be kept attached in the comforts of the palaces.

MOVED BY THE PAINS AND SUFFERINGS OF OTHERS

Therefore, one day, without informing anybody, he went outside and saw for himself the life outside his palace. Not only one, he made three trips in which he saw sickness, old age and death. On the fourth trip outside his palace, he saw a wandering monk. He determined to be like him. Therefore, he determined to leave everything including his nears and dears.

He got his hair cut, changed his clothes and subsequently called himself Gautama. He wanted to know as to how to remove the sufferings from our midst. For this purpose, he went to different sages and wise preachers. But none could alleviate or satiate his doubts.

PRACTICE OF STRICT PENANCE

Importantly, in order to find the cause of sufferings, for a period of six years, he practiced strict penance in which he took fruits, leaves and root of the trees. Many a times, he remained hungry for days on end. But he could not get what he wanted. Then again he began eating health giving food in order to get what he actually wanted.

STRICT PENANCE BROUGHT  ANSWERS TO HIS QUESTIONS

In essence, it has rightly been said that for a determined man everything is possible. Therefore, while he was sitting under the Bodhi tree (In Bodhgaya) in meditation, he resolved that he will not get up from this spot until he got satisfactory answers to his prayers.

FOR GETTING GOOD RESULTS, WE HAVE TO WORK HARD

It has rightly been observed that whenever we are in quest for a truth, we have to surmount so many hurdles. In order to get pure gold, it has to undergo different processes, therefore, he too had to go through tests. Subsequently during the night Mara (an evil soul) visited him and threw different temptations to him but Gautama overcame every temptation with his virtue.

CAUSE OF SUFFERING IS OUR  IGNORANCE

Finally, he realized the cause of suffering. Thus he became Buddha as destined and prophesied by sages.

After he got answers to his strict penance in the form of enlightenment, he went to Deer Park in the city of Benares and shared his enlightenment with five holy monks who understood him and thus became his disciples.

THE PIOUS LIFE OF A BHUDDHA

In this way, the journey for teaching Bhudhist teaching started. For a long period of 45 years, he travelled far and wide to preach his dharma. During this period he along with his disciplines faced many hardships but they did not tarry from their path of spreading true teachings. There was sobriety and piety in his speech which attracted his audience immensely.

ASHOKA SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF BHUDDISM FAR & WIDE

It was during the reign of King Ashoka, Bhuddism spread from India to other countries as well.

SERVICE WITH A SMILE

There is a famous story about Gautama, during his preaching trip, he found one monk down with contagious disease. He washed the monk thoroughly and rebuked the other monks as to why they were not taking care of his brother monk who was suffering in pain.

DARKNESS SHOULD BE REMOVED BY SPREAD OF LIGHT

BHUDDHA NATURE & TEACGUBGS

Buddha taught that everyone of us could imbibe Buddha nature and teachings and become Bhuddha himself/herself. He also preached that we should know our ordinary nature which include our fear, anger and jealousy. But our true nature include pure, wise and perfect. We have to discard our ordinary nature and know our true nature. This termed as Bhuddha Nature.

TEACHINGS OF BUDDHKNOWLEDGE CAN REMOVE IGNORANCE AND SUFFERINGS

MATTER TURNS INTO ENERGY AND ENERGY TURNS INTO MATTER

We are born of our parents and our children are born out of us. If we harm others, in turn, we would also be harmed ultimately. It is akin to Karma philosophy.

EVERYTHING CHANGES

Nothing remains static, everything changes. Our life is like a river whose current goes on and on. It does not change. In some places it is smooth and at the other places its current is swift. The current also passes through hurdles in the form of rocks etc. Anything could happen at any time to us as well in life.

LAW OF CAUSE AND EFFECT

The third truth is that the changes are continuous; due to law of cause and effect – which is governed by our Karmic deeds and misdeeds. Everything happens to us due to our own Karma. If we are doing good to others, the good things would be done to us too and vice versa.

THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS

• There is suffering. Which is common to all.

• Cause of suffering. We are the cause of our suffering.

• The end of suffering. One should enlighten oneself by removing ignorance.

• The path to the end of suffering. This is by adopting Noble eight path – middle path which constitutes:

• Right view. See through the eyes of the Buddha (With wisdom and compassion).

• Right thought. Clear and right thoughts makes huge difference.

• Right speech.

• Right conduct.

• Right livelihood.

• Right effort.

• Right mindedness – goodwill towards others.

• Right concentration. Focusing one right thought at a time.
Buddha breathed his last around 486 BC at the age of eighty but his preaching are most relevant and followed round the globe.

From the life of Gautama Buddha we can adopt the following things in our lives:-

• Right action leads to right results.
• If we be good to others, others will be good to us.
• If we make right and sincere efforts, we would be successful in our efforts.
• Our sufferings are due to our own Karmic deeds or misdeeds.
• We should focus on good deeds.
• We should cultivate good mannerism and conduct for successful living.
• We should use right words during our conversation with others.
• We should always act with wisdom and foresightedness.
• Right action should follow right thought.
• We should never adopt corrupt ways in earning our livelihood.
• Our ignorance is the cause of our suffering, remove the ignorance and all our sufferings will stop.
• Nothing is destroyed in nature should always be kept in mind.
• Change is the ways of nature. Everything under the sun changes should never be forgotten.
• As you sow so shall you reap should never be forgotten.
• Nothing is lost in the nature should never be forgotten.
• Right attitude leads to right results.

The teachings of BHUDDHA are more relevant now than ever. The deaths and destruction which is being perpetrated should stop forthwith and prevalence of non violence. May his teachings remain etched in our heart and remain guiding us to make our life sublime, peaceful, purposeful along with living righteously.

LAWS OF NATURE

LAWS OF NATURE

NATURE WITH ITS VARIOUS MANIFESTATIONS

The law of nature pervades
If we want to raise an edifice
We’re constrained to ensure
Its strong base
This base is not made in a hurry
Since if it is done in hurry
We may miss some finer points
In making a solid support
And the structure made
On the wobbly support
May crumble with its own wait
Thus proving the dictum
Haste makes waste.

When we’re in a rush
To achieve something
It goes to show that we are working
Against the laws of nature
By working horridly
We’re violating the natural laws
Which works on the principle of slow rhythm
Of gradual growth and development.

In essence, Law of Nature works
On the theory of gradual progression
Which helps consolidation
Of our achievement
If we take a leaf from the lesson of Mother Nature.

The tree we plant
Does not give us fruits in a short span of time
Nature bestows the plant
The most precious gifts from its kitty
Much needed sun-shine, rain and air aplenty
Then the Mother Earth gives it mineral nutrients
Such as oxygen, hydrogen and carbon dioxide
With which the plant
After many years of nurturing it
Grows into a trees
Finally gives fruits, the juicy ones
Patience & persistence works here
Since hurry makes worry.

If we want to lay a solid foundation
In our pursuit of education
Or enhance our worth in any profession
We want to pursue
We’ve to have enhance our know-how
This is not acquired in jiffy
As hurry makes worry
We’ll have to work real hard
And come up to the expectation
Of people who want to hire us
Since nobody flogs a dead horse.

If we want to be outstanding entrepreneur of repute
We’ve to earn reputation
By first of all earn business acumen
Made on the solid foundation of hard work & endeavor
On the principles of slow and steady wins the race
With practice and with a lot of experiences
And not hurrying through the intricacies
For hurry will bring us disillusionment at every stet
And ultimately distrust in our abilities
Leading to failures and still more heart-aches
Since hurry makes worry.

The idea of multi-tasking is excellent
But be aware, we’ve a limit
Up to which we can stretch
Or else it will create unmanageable stress
Since our system’s power to cope gets depleted
With excessive stress and strain experienced
Creates anxiety and nervous breakdown
With horrifying implications
Earning in the process ‘hurry sickness’
Which generates emotional effects
Affecting body and mind
Resulting in fatigue and head-ache
With mal-functioning of our immune system.

With hurry sickness looming large
We become knee-jerk reactive
Spoiling our overall relations with our near relatives
Thus are left to fend for ourselves
And no one to come to succor when needed the most.

Our thoughts too give confusing signals
When we horridly pass from one thought to other
With the result
We’re neither here nor there finally
Thus, we should take life as it comes ultimately
By pressing the pause button
As and when needed.

LAWS OF NATURE

PURITY OF NATURE REMAINS DESPITE OUR INSECERE EFFORTS TO DEFILE IT

In essence, it is woefully observed that we humans have the uncanny obsession to stretch ourselves beyond a limit, as a result of which, we entangle ourselves in unanticipated problems. These problems may be in relation to our health and wellness or any other issues. By doing so, we tend to make the existing problems still more complex and at times intractable. The hurrying triggers keep plodding us to exceed our limits and we keep on shoving ourselves and earn for ourselves ‘hurrying sickness’ which proves counterproductive in the long run. This hurrying sickness is against the very spirit of Laws of Nature.

HURRYING RESULTS IN HORRIFYING RESULTS

It has very rightly said in Bhagwad Gita: Do not fear change. But before change has been decided we should be on comfort zone. Steos fir change should not be taken in haste, on heightened emotions (Anger or attachment) and our decisions should not be against anybody. In addition, we should have trust in ourselves and our Creator while aspiring for any change. In other words, we should not fall prey to hurrying triggers. Our actions should be in sync with the nature – in more gentle pace for any change which we want to bring to ourselves.

ALL THE ELEMENTS OF NATURE WORK ACCORDING TO THEIR SET PLAN

We have examples of plants giving fruits. It does not happen instantly after a plant is planted. Nature has its own timeline. It does not happen at the whims and fancies of humans. Our different stages of life happen as we attain our age in normal course. It is not in our hand to bypass any stage of life. The child in the womb of a mother takes its own time to take birth. Everything has got its time limit.

WHEN MOTHER NATURE’S BALANCE IS DISTURBED, IT TAKES ITS RETRIBUTION

The Mother Nature has its own ways. The seasons are changing on its own, the days and nights happen with regularity, the air, the rain, the sun-shine, the moon lit night is so pleasant etc. The other bounties of nature are given to us in plenty and that too freely. Nature has its time fixed for everything. It has made a variety of things for all living beings to enjoy and live with it all. It is the man who disturbs the natural phenomenon due to which all living beings suffer. In other words, Nature gives us much but when its balance is disturbed, it does not forgive, its payback is really very severe. It comes in the form of blizzard, tsunamis, earthquakes, excessive rains or scanty rains and droughts etc. In other words, Nature has its own regularity in its functioning. It is on the principles of slow but steady, in its own rhythm.

In Bible it has been very clearly mentioned: O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom, you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures. Here is the ocean, vast and wide, teeming with life of every kind, both large and small.

WE ALL ARE RUSHING AGAINST TIME

Presently everybody is rushing against time. A thing which could be accomplished in days, we want to do it within hours. Fast-tracking and multi-tasking has become a new norm. By so doing, both the task at hand and we ourselves could be impacted.

BY DOING A THING IN EASE AND PEACE COULD BRING ABOUT GOOD OUTCOMES

In fact we lost touch of doing a thing in a more relaxed way in sync with the nature and have actually become obsessed with workaholic methodology and in the process have earned for ourselves stress and strains accompanied with our compliments. We want to be perfectionist and prove to ourselves and others around that we are better than anybody else. We remain pushing and pulling ourselves in order to get things done as quickly as possible – even rushing and pushing besides becoming impatient while getting things done to prove our point.

It has been observed that when we are into natural rhythms, then we become more associated with ourselves. By working in ease and peace/more relaxed way, we can attain the best results for ourselves. Rushing and hurrying thing can bring about uncertain results for us.

WORKING IN RHYTHM WITH NATURE CAN DO WONDERS

When we learn the art of doing our work in more relaxed way, we learn to be in aligned with our own nature and mother nature with which we have to work. As has been seen, the work we can handle in a particular stage of life, we cannot accomplish as we grow old. If we stretch ourselves more when our physical self does not permit then we are in for health related issues. How seasons change, how days changes into nights, how wind blows and sun shines. All the works of Mother Nature are at its own time. Nothing can be forced. In the same way, we should also work in rhythm with our own nature.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TODAY

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

SALUTATIONS TO ALL MOTHERS

IN MAHABHARTA BHISHMA said: The mother is the panacea for all kinds of calamities. The existence of the mother invests one with protection; the reverse deprives one of all protection.

In Bhagwad Gita, I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support, and the grandsire. I am the object of knowledge, the purifier and the syllable Om, the creator of Vedas. In other words, everything including our parents are created by Omnipotent God.

Bible says“Honor your father and your mother, and Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TODAY

MY WARM SALUTATIONS TO MY MOTHER

My warm salutations to thee my biological mother
Due to whom, I am here on this Mother Earth
And offering my warm reverence to Mother Divine
The Primal Creator of the universe
Who ignited the spiritual spark of all life
She is the Goddess Supreme
By names of Bhagavati Maa or Adi Para Shakti or Amba Maa.

Our mother is akin to Mother Nature
Who takes care of all her creations
On whose cradle all living beings get life-force for their existence
Grow and enjoy all the bounties of Mother Nature
Notably; air, water and sun’s energy without any bias
Providing succor to all birds and animals aplenty
From her bosom springs the life-giving crops
Which feed us and give us energy
Which sustains life on MOTHER EARTH.

The most esteemed of all the relationships
A relationship which harmonizes all other noteworthy relations
Endures all sorts of pains
Without even a slightest demur or objection
Mother, whose love for her offspring
Is in essence all encompassing
She is the one of the most priceless gifts of God, so benevolent.
We are aware how much pain she endures
From the time egg gets fertilized
Then the egg acquires different forms
From an embryo to a fetus
Then goes its steady growth in stages
All this development happens
Inside the womb of a pregnant woman.

Whilst the baby makes the first movement
In fact the first baby’s kick inside her womb
She takes it as a blessing from our Creator
Then she puts up with every pain
With a fond hope and aspiration
Till the baby is finally born.

Imagine her ecstasy finally
A feeling so heavenly
When she makes her endeavor to smooth growth of the baby
Imparts the child the first lesson
On which the edifice of lessons stands
And proves to the world at large his/her mettle
Mind you, the foundation of it all starts
From the lap of a mother
Her first breast feeding provides her protection from the viruses.

MOTHERS OF ANIMAL WORLD

MOTHERS OF ANIMALS

Mother Nature graces all mammals
With the natural traits of motherhood
A squirrel collecting its early morning feed
A crow collecting feed for its young one who cannot fly
A bitch feeding its pups even remaining without food itself
That is the strangest and most wonderful truth of Mother.

Then the mothers of all the mammals – animals, birds, ants etc
Are exceptional examples of motherhood
If you care to observe their way of living
Feeding their young ones and defending them from the predators
I was obviously inspired by the unique life of a queen ant
Which although does not have more life-span on this earth
But the Mother Nature has graced her with fine blend of motherhood
After her nuptial flight and mating get completed.
The queen ant finds a nesting place
Seals the entrance for laying the eggs
Lays eggs for food of growing larvae also
These healthy eggs grow to be active workers
And bring food from outside for the queen (mother) ant
Wherein the mother ant is in total control
For taking care of everything that goes inside the nest
That should also inspire us humans
As to how a MOTHER of any creations
Takes care of its broods.

I shall give example of my mother
Who had a deep impact on my life and those of my love ones
She, though has already left for her heavenly abode
But I reminisce clearly the days whilst she tended me as a small kid
Showering all the care that she could extend
Like all other mothers – who take pains in bringing up their offspring
What to feed and when not
With limited recourses at the disposal
She slept on the side
Where bed-spread was moist
But protected me from getting wet
So as to bestow interrupted care and protection as a kid!

Provided me her warmth of the heavenly lap
Cuddled me with her lovely hands
I grew up in her care and protections
Brimming with the everlasting love – so Godly indeed.

My mother gave me rock-solid protection on me day and night
With no complaints at any point in time.

A smile from me was a blissful gift for her
My cries used to fill her heart with the deepest agony
Calming of her heartaches came
When my sobbing came to an end finally
Childish prattle of mine amused her immensely
Whilst I crawled and learned to walk
Or talk first incoherently
She felt herself on the ‘seventh-heaven, factually.

Once I was down with the severest fever
I ;was in the coma for days on end
Medical help could hardly make any difference
Everyone in the family knew
Her sincere prayers came to my rescue.

Then came the time of my schooling
I was a reluctant customer, a foot-dragger for going to school
My Mom knew how best to handle me in this too!
Cajoled me with eatables as the enticement or bait when required
Reprimanded me sternly whence its necessity was felt
As though she knew when a particular dose to be administered
For drawing out the ills & putting the best traits
School and then college went on smoothly under her supervision
Worth mentioning, she was not well-read, so to say
But knew all fine-points of life and how to live it with sincerity!
t confession, all the traits in me are due to my loving mother
All negativism are earned by me from my own mistakes
Although she is mixed with (Five Gross physical elements) PANCH BHUTAS
Yet she resides in my heart for good with the grace of Almighty God.
And guides me when hugely required
Through her value system which she has imparted.

MOTHER NATURE PERSOFIES LOVE FOR ALL HER CREATIONS

VENERATED MOTHER MY WARM SALUTATION TO THEE
MOTHER IS THE SOURCE FROM WHERE PURE SOCIETY ORIGINATES
MOTHERS FILL OUR LIVES WITH OUT LONG LASTING FRAGRANCE

The Mother obviously. is one of the noblest relationships, the one who understands her offspring and teaches the child how best to take the correct path because she is graced with soft emotions by God.

The showering of soft emotions could attract even persons with brute mentality thus could have far-reaching influence on the lives of her progenies. It is the soft emotions which solidifies the foundations of the children in facing challenges while they faces life. Therefore, pure soft emotions are, in essence, ‘pure springs make rivers with pure water ’. Hence the source of purity of heart and mind start with the value system which the mother imparts to the child.

HOLY BIBLE mentions about mothers: Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

MOTHER IS A RESEVOIR OF PATIENCE AND TOLERANCE

Mother is the reservoir of patience, resilience, tolerance, perseverance besides the traits of forgiving and forgiving. Her quality of adjustment in any environs set her apart. This has been evidently clear since she leaves the hearth and home of her parents and becomes adaptive to the customs and traditions of her in-laws, which is the rarest of the rare attribute.

MOTHER TAKES DECISIONS USING MORE HEART

It is a gospel truth that in the household husband is the head and the mother the heart and when head and heart combine they make the huge difference both to the children and the home as a whole. Eternal peace and tranquility in the household happen when emotions of the heart are respected by all in the family.

FUTURE IS SHAPED ON THE EDIFICE OF MOTHER’S INITIAL TEACHINGS

All the important decisions which have far-reaching implications for the future of the children should be taken with an active participation of mother and father. By so doing, not only the natural say of the mother will be respected but also there would be peace and harmony in the household. The training in value system imparted by the mother remains with us throughout our life.

It should never be forgotten that mother provides the first lesson to her child – what to be done and what to be shunned. This first lesson is the foundation on which the edifice of future education of the child is built. Profuse praise of the child along with necessary punishment commensurate with fault will do a lot of good to the child.

EXCESSIVE INDULGENCE SHOULD BE AVOIDED

An important note: excessive indulgence (Mou Mamta) by the mother can also spoil the balanced development in the child. Meaning, if a mother sweeps the mistakes of the child under the carpet then, sure enough, the child will grow up to be a spoilt one. So an objective approach is: admonishing when required and shower love, when called for, will do a lot of good for the all-round development of the child.

MOTHER USES MORE OF HER INSTINCT AND SOFT EMOTIONS

There are many mothers who are not adequately educated but they understand their children better because they use their instinct rather than knowledge. Mere rebuking children will not do – a soft approach can deliver much. If nothing works then a pep-talk on the need of education by the mother can also do wonders. If this also does not work then the help of the experts in the field could be attained. This should be done after a thorough research. The purpose is to follow all norms which may help the child in acquiring knowledge besides character building.

SRI GURU GRANTH SAHIB says: A mother does not keep note of the transgressions of her son. O God, I am Your son. Why don’t You destroy my sins?

The mother should keep track of following aspects in mind in order to know and adopt remedial measures /take corrective steps for child’s improvement:-

• The company the child is following while schooling. It should be done with discretion without letting the child know.

• The progress of the child to be recorded. The mother should keep a tab of the child’s progress in all fields.

• Progress and innovative idea: health, education, mixing with other children, respect for all, curbing egoistic tendencies (words or sentences usage like I did it, it is due to me, my contribution made it possible etc), how to face diverse situation with courage, infusing feeling of commitment, spiritual bent of mind, games and sports, positive habit building, learning to obey the orders of elders including teachers etc.

Holy Quran enunciates: We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents; in pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth.

• Best use of internet facilities. Whenever a child is sitting on the computer, the mother should monitor as to what the child is browsing. Corrective steps to be initiated if the child is lead astray.

• How best to keep a healthy balance between the household chores and the monitoring child’s progress.

• Sometimes what is learned has to be unlearned. Here care and caution are required.

• Kindle a spirit of understanding and respecting others’ privacy in the child.

• Appropriate appreciation and punishment whenever required should be made for growth of the child.

Finally, from the above, it is evident that to look after a child is a whole-time job. If quality time is not given by the mother, the child may be lead astray and lose the moorings for a healthy and upward march in life and a MOTHER knows it all.

• The mother’s love is all-encompassing.

• The mother teaches us the first lesson in the value system.
• Her first breast feeding provides us immense immunity from the germs and viruses.

• The mother ‘s graces save us from all the ill-omens.

• The mother is the embodiment of suffering.

• The mother mothers us when we are not able to do anything on our own.

• The mother gives us what other relations cannot.

• We are part and parcel of our mother. Mother lays solid foundation of our growth and development.

• Those people who abandon their mothers at her old-age are uncivilized and will get punishment for their bad Karmic deeds.

OUR INTELLECT & EMOTIONS

OUR INTELLECT AND EMOTIONS

WHEN MOTHER NATURE COMBINES WITH OUR OWN NATURE WE BECOME ONE IN ASSOCIATION WITH OUR CREATOR

When Intellect is employed without use of feelings or emotions it becomes an instrument of change, mechanical one. Bereft of feelings or emotions becomes a passive change full of judgement suiting our convenience. When we combine our emotion with self consciousness or self awareness, it means we know ourselves fully; our potentials and our weaker areas and we are conscious about it all.

In Bhagwat Gita has clearly defined the significance of emotions or feelings: It says: Our emotions decide our orientation, and our orientation  our motivation.

The senses are superior to the gross body, and superior to the senses is the mind. Beyond the mind is the intellect, and even beyond the intellect is our conscious self or self awareness or self realization.

EMOTIONS & INTELLIGENCE

WHEN OUR NATURE MARRIES THE MOTHER NATURE IT CHANGES OUR ATTITUDE

Whence mental power becomes a plaything
A tool merely
To solve our problems mechanically
Making use of rationality
As it serves our selfish ends endlessly
With reason which we can use amply
Intellectually
Like a passive device
Employing judgment suiting our convenience
But without involvement of our feelings
Or warmth of our emotions
It is like firing a guided missile on the enemy forces
Using artificial intelligence
Devoid of the end results that would happen
Who will die as a result of our firing?
Bereft of any feelings
Stony heartedness indeed
All
pervading
Of emotions
Originated from deep recesses of our heart
About the victims of our action
And the people who are dependent
On the person to whom we exterminated
Or the property we’ve destroyed
On the site of impact, disheartening indeed.

Such target settings
Are being conducted in the current
War between Russia and Ukraine
Where men and materials are being decimated
Using human intelligence
Of course, without use of human emotions
Meaning, intellect can make us tool
In the process, intelligence is taking us away
From human awareness
Suffusing with emotions!
Cut up calm intuitive feelings.

This way with this intelligence
We’re distancing ourselves
from being a complete human being
Suffusing with clarity of human consciousness
That we’ve to understand
That conscious awareness is more forceful
And more real than rational intelligence
Though not defined plainly
Yet it could be perceived
Being more intuitive
And perceptive
With calm emotional thought precepts
With which we’ve clarity of thought
Than rational thought
With multiple reasons put forward
Thru our intellect thinking
As a motive for our action
Or inaction.

Whence action is being undertaken
Merely on the basis of rational thinking
Citing one reason or multiple of reasons
For our actions
Bereft of our emotions
Leads us humans
From one disaster
To another
Thus disassociating us
From our Creator
And the creations
He has created
Our Omnipotent God bids us to be
Consciously emotive
To spread Love and Light
Not spread deaths and destruction
Using artificial intelligence.

NATURE HAS ITS CHARMS

But Shri Krishna accepted the offering whole-heartedly and relished the same. After that Lord Krishna gave him riches and also blessings by which his friends fortune changed in its entreaty besides showering him with precious gifts. EID MUBARAKH TO ALL

EID MUBARAKH TO ALL

Eid-ul-fitr – after the month long observance of strict fast
Based entirely on article of faith
Purifies our body, mind and soul with fasting
During the holy month of Ramzan / Ramadhan
While offering prayers without break
To remain close to the most benevolent One,

It is the anniversary on which Holy Quran
Was revealed by most revered Prophet Mohammed
Chaste in fasting while doing needful duties
For ourselves and for nears and dears,
Dear to us – leaving none
Or the ones who are forlorn
Due to days so unfortunate
We ought to meet their needs with utmost compassion
Who may have lost hope due to natural calamities
Or due to something befallen unluckily
Thus have lost the continuous flow of income
Needed for body sustenance.
We ought to be filled with belief while performing donation
And our heart feeling pain at others’ pain
Thus bridging the gap that exists
Between people of different hues in the society
Awash with fervor thoroughly
Overflowing with empathy
Thus generating hope for the hopeless brethren
Which will, in turn give us inner satiety
Sufficient piety
Of fond trust
That there will dawn as a result
Of being compassion towards our fellow beings.

This is a day which binds all humanity with a holy thread
Of oneness, and brotherhood
Prevailing in all humans.

Fasting is a willful restraint
From intake of food material
Giving a needed break
To our digestive system
Regulating the body metabolism
In sync with our body’s requirements
Which helps us do our body functions
Thus ensuring sound health & wellbeing
And live life in association with Super Being.

Fact remains foodstuff taken
More than our body needs
Results in our digestive system
To function more than its ability
Leading it to go awry
Producing fatty contents in excess
Than our body actually requires
And bereft of any body exercise
We become obese
Leading to laziness
and related illnesses.

EID-UL-FITR (THE FEAST OF FAST BREAKING)

Allah may bestow us wisdom and resilience, in ample measure, for bringing dawn of peace, cooperation, goodwill, compassion and brotherhood amongst all the peoples of world as all the people are from the single SOURCE.

As we all are the creations of a single CREATOR, we should cement our love with each other and help each other meet our needs and never have ill-will for our fellow brethren. It is more important now than ever since we all suffered first due to Covid-19 pandemic (which again is raising its head) and secondly due to war between Russia and Ukraine which has created problem of high inflation and may cause food crisis around the world.

After regular observance of fast with devotion and piety for a period of one month during Ramadhan, devouts celebrate – Eid Day which means a day of joy, a day of spreading love and affection, a day to spread fellow feelings besides a feeling of being pure after the observance of fast for one long month.

Let this EID and coming EIDS be the torchbearer of our prosperity with Allaha’s Grace. Let’s pray that the fervor and enthusiasm of EID remain etched in our hearts forever and let this festival last for eternity with all its benefits such as feeling of warmth for our fellow beings.

The Muslims observe fasts in the month of Ramadan or Ramzan. It is a sacred month since Holy Quran was revealed in this month.

The word Ramadan has been driven from the Arabic word ‘ramaida’ meaning intense heat accompanied with dryness of ground. It is called so since it amounts to driving out sins with our good deeds like offering charity and keeping away or desisting from all body enjoyments etc along with intense penance by following the practice of fasting.

The word “fasting” (sawm) literally means ‘to refrain’ – means desisting from not only from food and drinks but also from unethical thoughts and actions which sully our thoughts and actions besides following all the guidance in letter and spirit enunciated in the Holy Quran. In other words, it is not merely restraint from food and drink but also our resolve as to how to control the urge of hunger and thirst besides devote our energies on prayers thus gain spiritually.

On this way, the devout learn the traits of self discipline through self restraints too. The fast is broken at sunset before recitation from Holy Quran and thus being in connectivity with Allaha. The fast is broken with a sip of water and some dates.

Fasting is done as an exercise of keeping oneself away from certain activities which prevent devout from being spiritually aesthetical both physically and emotionally. Thus desisting from taking anything and keep oneself away from worldly pleasures i.e. humdrum of eating drinking or even being away from thinking about anything like lust etc and divert all the energies to prayers – five times.

Having abstinence means devoting much of time, energy and resources on charities besides prayers infuse self discipline and usher in holistic growth and development of an individual.

We all are aware about IFTAR party – a social event where fast is broken. Here meal is shared with friends and others. Free meals are also served for the general public at this get-together.

Fasting or not eating food for a fixed or for a pre-determined period of time for giving our digestive system some break or rest consequently keeping the body free of extra fats and toxins so as to focus on the job at hand without bodily interruptions besides offering prayers to our Lord with ease and peace. This helps us gain our Creator’s bountiful graces.

In other words, fasting is intentional skipping of intake of food material, drinks or sometimes both for a fixed or sometimes for a prolonged period of time. It may be for a complete day (24 hours) from early morning to evening (dawn to dusk) or early morning on a particular day to the morning of next day. Then the fasting could be continuously or intermittent; depending on the body requirement or for the intended purpose of observance of fast as a religious tradition being followed in some religions.

Fasting is both for regulating and energizing the body metabolism by pepping up / streamlining the digestive system so as to keep the body free of the extra fats and toxins besides keeping the body’s carbohydrates (sugar) synchronized with the need of our body. With slower and regulated metabolism, means our body organs can work for a longer period of time thus prolonging our age.

Then fasting too is undertaken as a religious observance.

Ramadan is more than fasting. The entire month is devoted to prayers, internal cleansing, charity etc.

• The devout devote all his/her energies to focus on God.
• No compromise on the practice self restraint – physical or mental.
• Re-evaluate lives in the light of Islamic guidance.
• Forget and forgive those who wronged.
• Purify our lives physically and emotionally besides our thoughts and actions. A devotee thus adopts the qualities of head and heart.

Fasting helps self awareness / self enlightenment.

• Saves a devout from distractions and create the traits associated with sincerity and simplicity.

• Restraint helps us discipline ourselves besides a person turns inward with regular prayers.

HAPPY LABOUR DAY TODAY

In Bhagwad Gita, it has been rightly said: Perform your prescribed duty, for action is better than inaction. A man cannot even maintain his physical body without work.

OUR LABOUR CLASS PLAYS THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ROLL FOR OUR SOCIETY

RESOLTION OF 1889

A resolution was passed in 1889 by the Marxist International Socialist Congress in which it was decided that the workers should not be made to work for more than eight hours a day. Thereafter, it became an annual feature to celebrate 1st May as the Labour Day.

In essence, in order that the labour class works conscientiously and to their full potential, it is most significant that their rights are protected to a maximum extent through:

HAPPLY LABOUR DAY

A day most memorable
While we pay glowing tributes to class so respectable
A class which stands apart
For definite contribution to the society at large
Without whom no community can move ahead.

To a tribe set apart
Our warm salutation
Originated from the deep recesses of our heart
To this special class so very significant.

Our grateful thanks to this special class of hard workers
Who are putting in their expertise in a most daunting way
In the varieties of industries
Farms and factories.

This labour class is the one who performs
Manual work most efficiently
Working physically so effectively
By working manually where our whole body is involved to fructify
The work assigned and done loyally
With honesty and sincerity
Along with utmost discipline, punctuality and regularity
Becoming excellent factor of production significantly
Involved to tilt the scale of production meaningfully.

In order that our labour class gets benefit due to them
From the work they perform so very efficiently
Formal Labour Laws are devised accordingly
Through legislation
With active participation of trade unions
and the organizations
Which are formalized by the Government concerned
Where the rights of the labour classes
Along with the duties of the management
Are codified to be followed to the letter and spirit
For the overall benefits of workers
As the wages for the employed labour
And the organizations concerned
Puts in their capital to start the venture for more production.

There are certain impediments which are presently observed
With the automation and computerization
Including the e-communication as a recent phenomenon
Wherein more reliance is placed on machine in place of workforce
Thus replacing manual labour to a maximum extent.

Laws are formulized tellingly
To save the interests of the labour class effectively
Involved in the industries
Or any other ventures such as working in the fields
Involved in ploughing, sowing, watering plants
Removing weeds, harvesting the crops
Picking of fruits from the fruit trees
And finally taking the produce – the fruits of the labour
To the market places for selling the produce.

Then, it could be making of furniture
For use in offices and in our homes
Or construction of buildings
In other words, you mention anything or everything
The contribution of working class is most significant.

It may be unskilled work
Semi-skilled work
Or skilled work
Which involves labour work
As the means to fructify the work.

There may be sometimes
Conflict of interests
Between the labour class and the organization
Which could be sorted out amicably
Tripartite consultation formally
By association or participation of workers
Owners and the Government agencies.

1st May is construed as the Labour Day
When we renew our promise to be fulfilled
To stick to the proposal of eight hours of work
Along with honouring the commitments
Made with the working classes who work manually.

The contribution of labour class in Covid-19 pandemic stands tall
The working class is involved in keeping our streets neat and clean
Besides performing the work related to sanitizing
The nooks and corners of the city streets so very appreciably.

Without their active participation
We could not have achieved the task of keeping
Our workplaces and streets neat and tidy
While we sit at our homes comfortably
This labour class is working punctually
As their work schedule begins starts in the early morning
And lasts till the end of the schedule of working.

Hence our profuse salutation
A most deserving one
To these most astute working class
Who with their manual work has made a huge difference
In our life at this hour of most trying situation and condition
They put on their work without caring for their own protection
Therefore they deserve our salutation.

HAPPY LABOUR DAY

A LABOUR CLASS WORKSUNDERRDURESS BUT EVERY WORKER EARNS HIS/HER RESPECT IN THE SOCIETY WITH HIS/HER WORKING ETHICS

Today, 1st May is the most remarkable and memorable day since we commemorate this day for our labour class whose contribution to the society as a whole cannot be taken lightly. The stellar contribution of labour class for the society is really unique especially so while our society faces hardships like Corona pandemic condition or any other contingencies.

It is due to our labour class only that our ensurw that our streets, workplaces and other places are kept  neat and tidy while we sit at homes fearing infections, The labour class could be infected but they remain performing their assigned tasks without let or hinddrance. But for their  participation in most needed sanitation, our society would have been affected most adversely.

Lets celebrate this day most enthusiastically with the fond hope that this most significant class fortheir contribution for the society. For this to be reality, it is a must that the society takes care of this class as they take care of the society of which they cannot be taken apart.

Essentially, it has been said whatever job we are capable of  should be performed with singleness of purpose with the aim that no work is low or high but how much you focus on the job in hand counts much. In reality, it is the spirit with which you do a job counts. We should feel proud of whatever job we are performing.

LABOUR CLALSS IS THE RAY OF HOPE OF OUR SOCIETY

FIXING OF WORKING HOURS

As the labour class has to work under most trying under hazrduous situations and conditions and if they are exposed to these conditions continuously then their immunity too would be impacted adversely. Therefore, a fixed period of work is necessary. As a corollary to this end, 8 hours work schedule is fixed. Every organization, private or governmental should work according to this work. Any organization transgressing this, should be dealt with according to the law of the land. This is most significant since exposure for long hours at this critical juncture can put the lives of this working class to the jeopardy.

WAGES TO THE LABOUR CLASS

For the strenuous working schedule and the hard labour they put in like cleaning the sewerages, drains, lanes and by-lanes, it is must that they are duly compensated their fruits of labour. Keeping this class away from their wages or divesting them from their legitimate wages will prove counterproductive thereby leading to disastrous consequences . Besides, it would amount to demotivating them despite their hazardous work.

HEALTH CARE/MEDI-CARE

For keeping them in their sound health and wellness, of necessity, it is essential that they are provided medicare through periodical medical tests more so in this testing time of Covid-19 pandemic situation wherein they have to work while others have to stay indoors observing Covid-19 norms!

FAMILY WELFARE

While the labourers have to work under difficult conditions, it is a must that their families too are taken care  – they are provided medical assistance whenever they need, the families are compensated if and when they lose their bread winner due to the job hazards.

AFTER RETIREMENT BENEFITS

To ensure that when  they attain the age of superannuation, the working class are given retirement benefits including insurance cover for the retired employee and their family as well. Wherever authorized, pensionary benefited with all other pecuniary benefits such as Provident Fund, Dearness Allowance etc should accrue to them as and when due.
